Whatever your needs, Submersible Pump provides efficient, reliable solutions.

Submersible Pump

A submersible pump (or electric submersible pump (ESP)) is a sump pump whose motor is mounted inside the sump pump body. The motor is specially sealed to prevent electrical short circuits.

Submersible sump pump advantages:

The basic advantage of submersible pump is the ability to prevent pump cavitation, a problem associated with a high elevation difference between pump and the fluid surface. Cavitation is the main reason for impeller corrosion. Submersible pumps are efficient, high in capacity, require very little maintenance and are generally very economical for high depth applications.

Submersible pump applications:

  1. Single stage sump pumps are used for sewage pumping, drainage, general industrial pumping and slurry pumping. Submersible pumps are also popular with aquarium filters.
  2. Multiple stage submersible pumps are used for water wells , water abstraction and in oil wells.

Limitation:

  1. Multiple stage submersible pumps are unsuitable for pumping water that contains sand or other abrasives as the tolerances between the impellers and diffusers are relatively small.
  2. As submersible pumps are water cooled and water lubricated, they should not be installed in applications that will pump dry, unless they are protected by a liquid level control.
  3. Submersible pump is unsuitable for pumping water containing a high concentration of dissolved gases because the pump may become gas locked.
